Preseve the Legacy, Fund the Future

In 2001, thanks to the support of many individual, business, corporate and foundation donors, $9 million was raised to restore the Lensic Theater to its original architectural splendor while transforming the space into a state-of-the-art, 821-seat nonprofit performance venue now recognized as one of New Mexico’s cultural treasures.

The Lensic Performing Arts Center nonprofit has raised over $3 million in gifts and pledges and is now the proud owner of the theater. The theater is now truly our home!

With the purchase accomplished, and ten years of successful, accessible and diverse programming and outreach achieved, it is now time to look at the next decade and beyond.

In order to safeguard the diverse range of programming, the quality of The Lensic experience and the theater’s heritage as a community resource for future generations, The Lensic has launched a $3 million Fund the Future Campaign.
