Lensic Ambassadors

A dedicated group of Lensic volunteers greet patrons courteously at each event throughout the year.

Easily identifiable by their green sashes, Lensic Ambassadors ensure that every patron has a great experience at The Lensic. Each door to the theater is staffed with the volunteers, who efficiently seat patrons in the historic theater. Annually, the ambassadors are trained to evacuate the theater in the unlikely case of an emergency.

Ambassadors also help those in need of special assistance. Disabled and handicapped patrons can be accommodated for any performance. Those needing assistance are encouraged to notify the box office when purchasing tickets.

The group consists of 140 members, who come from all walks of life and share a camaraderie founded on a common love of the performing arts.

The Lensic holds an annual Appreciation Party to thank the volunteers for their invaluable service to The Lensic.

Tours of The Lensic

Tours of the historic Lensic Theater are available. Tours are 20 or 45 minutes in length. To make an appointment, contact:
